swim good

i'm gonna start swimming good.
so stoked on this new "keeping fit routine" i have going on.
3 yoga classes a week. spinning class. running.
and now i'm gonna take up swimming.

i wanna get toned. power vinyasa is amazing for that.
and with swimming in the mix, i'll be able to surf better
and be allowed into the gun show. ;)
can't wait for summer na!

food junkie

these are a few of my favourite things:

marie and i checked in at coffeebar in gastown today,
(since apres midi teahouse was closed. dang it.)
such an "original" name. haha... but it was a cute,
modern cafe that was designed really well,
complete with wooden chairs and hanging lights.

i liked the ambience so much that i will
defs be going back again...

let's get rich

ps- i saw ingrid michaelson's show last nite at the commodore.
i didn't know her music that well, but after that show i'm
enamoured with her. she's hilarious, sarcastic and so darn cute.

post race blues

you know that feeling after running a race and it's done?
or after a musical or play you were part of is finished?
and after dedicating almost your whole life to
being part of the event and it's all done,
you know that feeling you get?

withdrawal, sadness,
happiness, and nostalgia
all mixed in together.

that's how i felt.

vancouver sun run 10 km 2012:
goal time: 55 min.
actual time: 56:13.

soo closeeeeeee! 13 seconds away.

it was so amazing. it always is.
espesh when you consider running with 60,000
people from around the world.

it was my 4th time running the 10 km race.
it's always so hard but so much fun in the end.
and to remember: when i hit the cambie bridge to
sprint the rest of the way to BC place. and i did.

next year's goal:

VAN sun run 10 km
goal time: 52 min.

BMO half marathon.
goal time: 2 hours.

"I like drinking coffee alone and reading alone. I like riding the bus
alone and walking home alone. It gives me time to think and set my
mind free. I like eating alone  and listening to music alone. But when
I see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend
laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though I like being
alone, I don’t fancy being lonely. The sky is beautiful, but the people
are sad. I just need someone who won’t run away."

stasia i know it's hard. it always is in the beginning.
so much hurt and confusion. it's the worst.
but it's only a moment. the moment will pass.
right now you need to deal with it and release it.
let it all out. let it off your back.

i know how you feel. we will be ok.
there's so much more waiting for us out there.
don't forget to look because the moment might pass by.

there is hope. there is love.

the marrow of our bones

"...kindles a sheet of flame that goes
forth to proclaim His presence in
every fiber of our being and to
praise Him from the marrow
of our bones."

-thomas merton

baptisms today at kits beach
and easter dinner with fam.
it was so perfect.

thank you Jesus
that my faith is not in vain!

high tea time part II

so the day arrives...
high tea time!

it was a lovely, lazy, enjoyable,
kick back saturday arvo.

dressed up to the nines, sipping tea out
of expensive china, all sorts of tea, bubblies,
white wine, chocolate fondue, french pastry: caneles,
hot cross buns, finely wrapped sandwiches, cupcakes...

it was the most epic girl's day out!

andddd...the sexy hostess!

the high tea couldn't have gone better.
it was everything I imagined it to be.
an all day high tea: 12-6pm.
more like drunch!
so satisfying!

thanks stef for letting us
host it at your place!
