RAFW part II

i was so honoured to have
assisted daniella caputi.

she is honestly one of the most
youngest, talented, emerging designer
who i have ever meant.

12:30pm - meet at pyrmont to pick up clothes.
1:00pm - arrive at circular quay.
1:30pm - unpacking and getting racks.
2:00pm - steaming and ironing.
2:30pm - tag shoes with model's clothes.
3:00pm - bring the collection into the final room.
4:00pm - last minute double checks.
4:30pm - show time!

ph: daniella caputi s/s 2011 collection

so the last finale dress
in the collection
has pieces of wood
sewn on by hand.
it took about 20 hours!
(only! haha...)

her signature design:
see the attention to detail
in the wood pieces
and the cutouts?

ALSO, jewelry designer
holly, collaborated with daniella.
she sources most of her jewelry from india
and the rest are one off, vintage pieces.

you can see her stuff here:

daniella doesn't have a website yet!
(girl, you need one!)
so check out her blog:

ps- i'll post behind the scenes pics soon!
