you take your car to work, i'll take my board

jack mccollough and lazaro hernandez came up with a young, fresh approach to this spring's collection. not that other designers aren't young and fresh. but they looked to their roots: skating and surfing. i loved the idea of building in a track jacket around the dresses. and the tie-dyes! they are baaaaaaackkkk! if i had blonde hair, i'd totally streak it blue or purple. they were designing for the "cool girls they like to hang out with." at 28, i commend them for finally being called "grown up designers."
